The spirituality of the foundation is centered on the Word of God attested in the book of Revelation: “I saw a new heaven & a new earth.” “Here is the dwelling of God among Mortals: …. See, I make all things new.” (Rev.21:1-5).
A new heaven and a new earth! The risen body of Christ is the principle of the new spiritual and material universe we are hoping for. Now, the power of his resurrection has transformed the whole world. It will not be a paradise for isolated “souls,” nor for pure angels, but a city of human beings: humans have fully become God’s children – “he will be my son.”
Hence, Prerona ministry carries out the mission of:
• Inspiration through the Proclamation of the Word of God: to bring alive the teachings of Jesus as an inspiration to the people of other faiths Invitation to build a new heaven and a new earth here and now;
• Initiation into fullness of life in Jesus.

From his seminary days he felt a fire burning within him to bring the Gospel of Christ to every nook and corner of our diocese and the world at large During his regency, while on a journey on foot with the youth to a village called Narayenpur, he received an inspiration from God to open the book of salvation to people of other faiths and bring the newness of life to them. This impelled him to seek ways and means to make Jesus known and loved by all.
While in Ranabondo he dedicated his time and talents to make the youth alive in Jesus, through music ministry, medical care, and night class for adult education together with catechetical instruction. He inspired the youth to share the gospel with the people on their regular visits to families in the villages. He formed a youth kirton dal and went around the village proclaiming the good news. After his ordination as a priest, he dedicated his time and energy for this cause in collaboration with the Campus Crusade and Good Way.
Institution of Prerona
With this profound inspiration from God on January 25, 2000, the feast of Conversion of St. Paul, he founded the Prerona ministry in a small scale, with film ministry, family ministry, prayer ministry and print media ministry for the people of other faiths, and then, introduced a day and half seminar to present the person of Jesus Christ to the participants.
There was a good and encouraging response from the people. They began to taste and see how good the Lord is. The people expressed their desire to know more about Jesus. So on May 9, 2005 he began a one week course in Bible in the Bible House with three staff Sr. Margarita SMI, Sr. Christina Sheela SMI and Mr. Babla Gonsalves.
Today, the ministry has 25 members as staff and 7 members as field animators, and is called the Prerona Foundation. Prerona Mother’s Prayer Tower, Prerona Shoink dal (Soldiers of Christ) Prerona Little Flower for girls and Prerona Youth for Christ.
